  • Minimum 8 GB RAM and 3.5 GB disk space required, but for a good experience we recommend 16+ GB of RAM and plenty of disk space for media files. For Windows, VRAM should be 8+ GB to fit ~4 GB Large V3 model.
  • Speed < 1x means transcription takes longer than the media duration. Speed > 1x means faster than real-time.
  • More windows testing coming soon.

Important Notes

  • Estimates only. All figures are provided for informational purposes. Actual transcription times will vary based on your specific hardware configuration, background processes, media file format, media quality, and system thermals.
  • Windows GPU (CUDA) not yet tested. The Asus Zephyrus G15 was tested using CPU-only processing. Windows machines with supported NVIDIA GPUs running ArcaScribe with CUDA acceleration are expected to be significantly faster than the CPU result shown, but have not been formally benchmarked at this time.
  • Mac results use Apple Metal GPU acceleration. All Apple Silicon results shown reflect Metal GPU acceleration, which is used automatically by ArcaScribe on supported Macs.
  • Mac estimates. Mac Mini M4 Pro and MacBook Pro M4 results are estimates derived from hardware specifications and have not been directly measured yet.
